A fantastic experience all round. Authenic and fresh menu with some unique items. Went there for a date and totally impressed the girl. Excellent wine list and creme brulee out of this world. Modestly priced for the quality they are serving.
THE PRICES ARE WAY TO HIGH FOR THE LITTLE YOU GET AND THE HEAD CHEF LOOKS LIKE HE JUST GOT OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL. WE WENT TO MCDONALDS AFTERWARDS. GO TO SAN REMO !
The pasta was sticky the drinks watered down. not impressed
A fabulous menu, great service and perfectly done dishes. Feels like I was in Italy. All ingredients were top quality and priced well overall. A down town experience in Etobicoke.( I didn't see any portion too small)
A great addition to South Etobicoke. We have been many times and the food is always to die for! The service is wonderful and the managers and chef will always stop by and chat. The wine list is extensive with a good price range. My boyfriend and I are so happy to have a place like this in our area. It's a must try!
We were driving by and decided to risk trying a new place. The outside looked welcoming and the decor on the inside was beautiful. We hoped that the experience would not stop there. It did not. The food was FABULOUS...from the gnocchi, to the bolonaise, to the ravioli. The portions were perfect. We were full, but not stuffed. We cannot wait to return and we are sending all our friends. No long drives to Woodbridge for good food anymore!!!
Food is excellent and authentic. We have been many times, and their menu is incredible with lots of selection and specials. There is live entertainment on the weekends and the decor is beautiful. We love taking our friends here because they're always so impressed. The one small blip can be the service. The last time we were there, we had a waiter who seemed more about selling us (a little condescending, too) rather than making it an enjoyable evening, but for the most part, we have good experiences with the service staff. Overall, this place is fabulous!
We checked this place out this past weekend. Food more than lived up to expectations. The beef carpaccio is incredible. It was nice to see some classic Italian dishes on the menu. Many of them you can't find in other so called "Italian" restaurants. Service was mediocre. They seemed overwhelmed and understaffed. We had to wait quite a while between courses. The live music upstairs was a great touch. We'll go back for sure.
I can't say enough nice things about Pulcinella with its fine authentic Italian cuisine and weekend complimentary Italian music by Luigi. Executive Chef Phil often stops by the tables to say hello. Hands on Management Mario and Andrea are nearly always available to greet you and see you out the door. Fabulous food prepared with care, great service and select wines from around the world. We've been there many times will always go back. Long Branch has waited a long time for such a fine restaurant.
A group of 5 of us dined at this restaurant. I had duck ravioli. The 5 or 6 ravioli were undercooked/cold and the sauce was cold. My husband had veal that was served with mashed potatoes. For most of the meal I thought it was a white sauce he was scooping up. When I called the waiter over to clarfy what the dish was and why did it have the apperance of potato soup, he said he would tell the chef. Our waiter came back, said the chef was sorry and gave us the excuse that the chef had only been in the country for 2 weeks and he does not know what mash potatoes should look like. Our waiter stated that he does not eat mash potatoes and therefore he also does not know what it should look like. Where is Chef Ramsey when you need him?
Everyone else at the table seemed satisfied with their meal.
This was not an elegant meal, the wait staff service was very poor and the chef is decidedly unskilled. For $279.62 it was the most disappointing meal I have had in recent memory. I shall never return.
This restaurant turned out to be a disappointment.
I went for a night out with my partner expecting an authentic quality Italian meal.
I ordered the veal medallions and the scallops. What I received were two very small hard pucks on a plate (could hardly cut through them) and three scallops cooked on one side.
My partner's main course was Osso Buco. It looked more like a pasta dish with bits of meat. No 'bone in' as Osso Buco should be. The pasta in this small dish was neither authentic nor fresh, but from a box.
My partner's creme brulé had such a thick candy coating on it that he was careful not to cut himself while trying to taste. I'm being quite serious.
My tiramisu dessert was equally disappointing, being two very small spoon fulls on a large plate. Liquor should also be used within this desert. It was left out to save on expense I gather.
I must add that we are both slight people. Our appetites are not large, but we were hungry when we left this restaurant after appetizers, main courses and deserts.
To sum up, save your money and try another restaurant. This restaurant's prices are extremely inflated for the small portions and poor quality.
The food and service were excellent.
We have just had my daughters graduation party for 23 people and the food was beyond excellent. The wine Mario helped us select was appreciated by all and the atmosphere and service by the staff was beyond reporach. We will definately be having events again at this restaurant.
